The Foundation's launch film
Filmed and edited by David Bickerstaff
Video | 16:9 | 8 min 42 sec

The Delfina Foundation seeks to create and facilitate new platforms for cultural dialogue.

This film has been commissioned for the launch of Delfina Foundation in October 2007 to give an overview of its founder and the origins of the foundation. Arts patron Delfina Entrecanales has provided space for musicians, artists and thinkers to extend and make their work, most notably at Delfina Studio Trust, which helped to launch a new generation of UK artists and introduce many international artists to London for the first time.

Delfina Foundation, like Delfina Studio Trust before it, retains as its driving force its founder’s passion for supporting the personal and professional development of artists and respect for the power of artistic action. It seeks to use art and creativity in the widest sense to bring together isolated peoples and cultures through creative exchanges, artistic residencies, and the creation of salons/events involving broader elements of civic society from lawyers to environmentalists.

Featuring: Delfina Entrecanales, the Brodsky Quartet, Mark Muller QC, Andrew Brown, Robert Wyatt, and Jon Snow.
